Not easily pleased.com ?
Do you find yourself thinking about the tiny details that differentiate a fantastic foodie experience from a mediore meal out?
Do you sometimes appreciate when a restaurant has managed to get so many of the little things just right?
Many people will never experience truly great food and drink. Of those who do, even fewer will recognise and appreciate it.
When we find somewhere great, it makes us want to tell our friends so that they can experience it too.
It makes us happy to share our experiences with other people.
That is the reason why we set up this website.
It is for those who like really good food, and those who strive to find it.
If you like reading what we write, pay a visit to some of the restaurants.
No restaurant has paid anything or given any us any free stuff to write about them.
When we write nice things about a restaurant, it is because we have been there and we liked them.
If we write anything negative about a restaurant, it is truthful and we will have almost certainly given them a chance to put it right.
Every restaurant occasionally has problems. Even our favourite ones!
What we believe in is a restaurant’s willingness to listen to a customer and if something is not quite right, to do their best to put it right.
If you like a restaurant – tell your friends. More importantly, if you don’t like something – don’t be afraid to tell the waiter/waitress/restaurant owner why. If they are any good at their job, and you do tell them in a constructive and polite way, you will almost certainly get a new dish, and sometimes they might give you some free food or drink to keep you going while they cook you a new one!

We’re Oli and Liz, a foodie couple who values the little touches that make a meal extra special as much as what’s actually on the table.
Our love of travelling has led us to explore Michelin starred extravaganzas as well as ‘off the beaten track’ local gems around the globe, but we never tire of finding new exciting venues in our hometown of London.
Apart from eating out, Oli is well on his way to becoming an expert mixologist (renowned for his lethal Long Island Ice Teas and Espresso Martinis) and has an unofficial degree in the art of complaining so politely, he ends up with various complimentary items.
Liz has a talent for discovering the latest exciting pop-up restaurants – thinks Lebanese Rooftop Chalets – and a black belt in cake tasting (macaroons especially).
Here, we share our little black book of awesome eateries, homemade recipes and honest reviews of the restaurants everyone’s talking about.
